AuKing Mining released assay results from the Tundulu Rare Earths Project in southern Malawi on 4 November 2026.
The first hole drilled at East Tundulu, 26TH015, returned 67 metres at 1.68 per cent TREO from surface. The hole tested an arcuate magnetic low on the eastern side of Tundulu Hill identified in the company’s May 2026 aeromagnetic survey. The target had not previously been drilled. The collar sits 1,347 metres east of the Nathace Hill summit.
The east to west span of holes carrying published grade is now approximately 1.7 kilometres, compared with approximately 470 metres prior to this release.
A JICA rock chip sample collected in 1988, located 41 metres from the 26TH015 collar, assayed 6.07 per cent TREO. It is the second highest surface sample recorded in that program. The nearest historical drill hole, JMT02, was terminated at 50.3 metres.
Three holes were also reported from north-eastern Nathace Hill. 26NH032 returned 2 metres at 7.50 per cent TREO from 45 metres, the highest grade interval reported at Tundulu to date, with RC sampling ending in a mineralised interval. 26NH023 returned 34 metres at 1.68 per cent TREO from surface. 26NH033 returned 86 mineralised metres within a 150 metre hole.
Magnet rare earth oxides were reported for the first time, at a median 16.0 per cent of TREO across the intervals disclosed to date.
Diamond core from 26NH032 and 26NH023, extended to 510.62 and 400.42 metres respectively, remains unassayed. Twenty of the 31 reverse circulation holes have now been reported.
