Amara Minerals has returned 57.5m at 2.62 g/t gold from the first hole of its new drilling program at the Apollo Gold and Antimony Project in central Victoria, including 20m at 5.13 g/t and 10m at 8.04 g/t from 141m.

Strip out the drilled-width flattery and that is roughly 20 metres of true width, starting 126 metres below surface. Every reported composite reconciles exactly with the assay appendix, no top cuts have been applied, and the 0.7 metres of lost core inside the high-grade zone was assigned a grade of zero, which lowers the reported average rather than flattering it.

The result is not isolated. Nineteen intercepts above 1 g/t are already on record at Apollo from earlier operators, including 5.8m at 18.14 g/t and 28m at 10.17 g/t, and one historic hole returned three separate mineralised intervals between 58m and 166m. Two more holes sit at the laboratory with assays due this month, a fourth is drilling 98m along strike, and roughly 2,000 metres more is planned below every level tested to date.
