Liberty Metals’ first rock chip assays have returned gold in bedrock at its Oko North Project in Guyana. The peak result was 2.32 g/t from an outcropping quartz vein, and four samples came in above 1 g/t across four different host rocks.

Plotted against the Company’s mapped geology, the gold-bearing samples cluster around the shear zone that runs along the granite-greenstone contact. That is the classic setting for orogenic gold in the Guiana Shield.

Liberty deliberately excluded visible gold from its sampling, so the assays measure the bedrock itself. Together with the coarse, angular gold recovered from the workings, the results support a primary hard-rock source within Liberty’s own ground, beneath workings that have never been drilled. A 5,000 sample soil program is now underway to define drill targets.
